We improvised the hangers from a long thick dowel with an eye-hook drilled in the center balance point, threaded& hung from rough twine.

Unknown birds now known :)

Apparently the birds in my backyard were called Little Corellas. I was thrown by how much the look and act like galahs. Good info though!
